14 years ago, on August 22, 2007, implementation of the investment project called “Organization of dry lumber production at LDK №2 LLC in Vytegra” started. That was the day when this new enterprise was registered, and in September the construction site was determined and pre-project preparation was started. It should be also mentioned that this year is the 11th anniversary of “LDK ¹2” activity.
The mill, which is a part of the Vologda Group, was built from scratch, in open field. Overcoming the difficult situation of the crisis of 2008-2009, experiencing staff shortages, the company was able to quickly reach a high level, persistently and honestly gaining a reputation as a serious and reliable producer.
Today LDK №2 is confidently operating in the global lumber market. It is one of the most modern and efficient timber processing enterprises of the Vologda region, supplying its products to many countries of the world.
The successful implementation of the investment project of LLC “LDK № 2” became possible due to the competent organizational solutions based on the integrated use of resources, the use of modern technologies and equipment, as well as the high level of organization of labor.
The main products of the company are sawn softwood central and side sawn wood, which is used in house construction, production of trim materials and furniture production, while central sawn wood is also used in joinery production. The mill is managed by the managing director of LDK ¹2 Ltd. Evgeny Ignakhin, who was awarded the title “The Best Enterprise Manager of the Vologda Timber Industry Group of Companies” based on the results of work in 2020.
