The head of the company, Aleksandr Churkin, managed to find like-minded people, finances and to receive support from the regional government. Having united five regional timber harvesting, insurance and leasing companies, the company successfully functioned in this form for three years.

The history of the company began in 1991, when a closed joint-stock company Avstrofor was established together with a large Austrian company Holzindustrie Schweighofer. Today it is a company with 100% Russian capital. The company was engaged in trading activity. Wood harvesting, sawing up and export were organised.
