Cooperation agreement signed with Vologda State University

Last week a working meeting was held between the General Director of the Vologda Forest Industries Group, Andrei Konoplyov, and the Rector of the Vologda State University, Vyacheslav Priyatelev.

One of the main purposes of the meeting is to sign an agreement on cooperation in important and particularly relevant for both parties areas. Among them are joint development and implementation of educational programs, advanced training, career guidance activities with students and graduate students of the university and innovative activities.

“It is extremely important for our Group of companies to make an agreement with Vologda State University,” Andrey Konoplev emphasized during the event. – Our Group is one of the largest employers in the Vologda region. We are interested in close cooperation with the leading universities of the North-West District.

I would like to point out that “Vologodskie Lesopromyshlenniki” is a fast-growing Russian timber industry holding with a full cycle of logging and deep wood processing. The group consists of logging and processing enterprises, as well as trading, transport and leasing companies. In addition, on a parity basis with Cherepovets FMK, we own and operate two large chipboard and MDF plants in the Vologda region. For many years we have been successfully implementing large investment projects with the creation of modern, highly efficient, waste-free plants. In particular, a new plywood plant LLC “Plitwood” in Gryazovetsky district is currently under construction.

Being one of the largest employers in the region, we have a constant demand for modern qualified personnel. At the same time we are interested both in general specialists and, especially, in industry specialists. For our part, we guarantee a job in a modern, stable and constantly developing holding. We are sure that Vologda State University graduates can become worthy members of our team.

Vyacheslav Priyatelev, in his turn, also noted the importance of this agreement and expressed his confidence that it will be fruitful and mutually beneficial for both the further improvement of the work of the university and the Group of companies.
