March 15, 2022 there was a meeting of the sectoral state and public coordination council for the training of qualified workers, employees and mid-level professionals in the forestry and timber industry. Specialists of the Department of Forestry, Department of Education, Department of Labor and Employment, as well as representatives of forestry enterprises and educational institutions in a videoconference discussed the most pressing issues of staff training.
Vologodskiye Lesopromyshlenniki group of companies was represented by the Director of Communications and Personnel Oksana Yakovleva.
“In the new realities we have to rearrange our plans right on the fly. And yet, we see the need for young, qualified professionals. However, the main task today is to keep the existing staff, “- said Oksana Yakovleva.
Note that the “Vologda timber industry” continues the implementation of projects to promote “forest” professions and territories of presence, as well as interaction with educational institutions and career guidance activities.
On the council were reached agreements between leading forestry enterprises and educational institutions of the region on further cooperation, in particular it was decided to hold meetings directly at the manufactures to discuss and develop new educational plans.
“Modern high-tech equipment and machinery introduced in the timber industry require prompt adjustment of curricula of educational institutions. Qualification of specialists must meet the requirements of enterprises for their further employment. The main task of the Council is to coordinate the processes of modernization of enterprises with the training of personnel”, – said the Head of the Department of Forestry Roman Markov.
