Oleg Kuvshinnikov, the Governor of the Vologda Oblast, noted at the opening of the exhibition that all 27 years of the forum, the most effective representatives of the industry take part in it. And most of them are based in the region.
During the meeting with Ilya Popov, the acting General Director of the JSC “Vologda Group of Companies”, the Governor said that he was aware of all the successes and difficulties of the company and promised maximum help in solving them.
Today at the session of the Forum’s Council for the Development of Forestry Complex the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the RF Yuri Vorobyov noticed:
“At present, the forestry complex is undergoing a transformation due to the introduction of sanctions. New economic conditions are being formed in the country. The domestic market cannot compensate for the volume of products that were exported, there is a decrease in demand for the products, a decrease in the volume of timber harvesting. It is necessary to take a set of measures to support the industry”.
