Alexander Churkin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Vologda Timber Industry Group, was awarded a medal of the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov of the Russian Orthodox Church during the opening ceremony of the Synergy Center for Creative Development of Children and Youth at the Vologda diocese. A group of companies donated charitable funds for the purchase of a building for the Learning Center.
“Vologda woodworkers” in addition to the main activity for decades have been actively involved in charitable projects, in particular in the revival and preservation of churches and sanctuaries of the region.

«Now we must pay special attention to the spiritual development of young people, so there was no doubt for us to support the appearance of such a center in the Vologda region. I think that our contribution to this educational process will bring even more opportunities to preserve the traditions and moral values of the country».
