On December 5-6 an international business mission of companies in the field of construction was held in Uzbekistan. The event was attended by 15 promising Russian export companies. The delegation from the Vologda region included representatives of “VLP”, which held talks on the export of its own products abroad.
Denis Barabanov, director of strategic development of JSC “Group of companies “Vologda timber industry”:
“This is a business mission of the REC, the essence of which is a mass departure of Russian producers to a friendly country for meetings with local businesses – consumers and dealers. Meetings with potential partners and clients take place at the site all day long. We present there the products of VLP as well as the products of our joint ventures, including Plitwood. Preliminary agreements have already been outlined; the volumes will be tentative for the time being. Uzbek colleagues are very interested in our production processes right on the spot – they will come with a return visit to the plants to see products and production.
During the two days of the mission VLP representatives held more than 30 bilateral meetings with potential business partners from Uzbekistan.
